Med Assist CRNP

Our Nurse Practitioners are Master Degree nurses specially trained with an advanced degree and certified to be a practitioner along with the physician that they work with. They assist us in more efficiently delivering the health care that you need. They are always in contact with the physician with whom they work.

 


Mike Murdock

After graduating with an Associates of Science degree from Gadsden State Community College in June, 1977 he began working in the nursing field. After several years he realized he wanted to go further and enrolled earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of AL at Huntsville (Magna Cum Laude) June, 1994. He then went on to complete his goal to become a nurse practitioner in December, 1995 with a Master of Science in Nursing in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program from the University of Alabama at Huntsville. He is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nurses. He is licensed to practice from the Alabama Board of Nursing and is a member American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

He has worked with Dr. Raymond Ufford since December 1999, and plans to continuing working in the Med-Assist clinic for years to come. He has a lot of great patients that he enjoys helping.
His wife and he have reared one daughter and have a son in high school. They enjoy living and working in the community.

Heather Mostella

She graduated with an Associates of Science in Nursing in May, 1998 from Gadsden State Community College and continued her education graduating in July, 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of AL at Huntsville completing her goal to become a nurse practitioner in December, 2004 with a Master of Science in Nursing in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program from the University of Alabama at Huntsville (Magna Cum Laude). She has her license to practice from the Alabama Board of Nursing and is a member American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

She has worked at Med-Assist Doctors Group since Aug., 2006 and has had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful patients who she has helped with their healthcare and has plans to continue for many years to come.

She and her husband plan to rear their daughter in the area and continue to contribute to the community in which they live.

Tisha Griffin

After graduating from Snead State Community College, Boaz, AL she went on to get her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of AL at Birmingham completing it in Aug, 2002. She had desire to work as a nurse practitioner in a family practice so she worked and continued in school graduating from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Master of Science in Nursing in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program in May, 2007. She has her license to practice from the Alabama Board of Nursing and is a member American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is currently working in her chosen field at South DeKalb Family Medical in Crossville. She has worked here since June, 2007 and is enjoying getting to know the patients and helping them with their healthcare.

She and her husband are active members in their community and are planning to rear their daughter here.
